Alison qualified as an RGN in 1994 and worked in surgical and intensive care roles. She made the move to primary care in 1999 and completed a BSc (Hons) degree at The University of Manchester to become a Community Specialist Practitioner. This started a keen interest in Diabetes management for Alison who also has an independent non-medical prescriber qualification.
Specialising fully in diabetes 10 years ago working within Stockport Integrated Care Team across hospital and community.
Joined Middlewood 2021 as lead diabetes specialist nurse and is passionate about all things related to diabetes and the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Outside of work enjoys being a mum to 3 grown-up children and getting out walking and running.

Anastasia joined Middlewood in July 2021 after working within an NHS Trust on Acute Medical Wards and in District Nursing. She has an interest in CVD, however her main love of Practice Nursing is found in promoting health and wellbeing to the general population from birth all the way to elderly patients. Outside of Middlewood, her two young boys keep her busy. She enjoys going to the gym, horse riding, and spending time with family and friends.

Catherine after qualifying in 1984 initially worked on general surgical wards before moving to St Ann’s Hospice, Heald Green for 5 years. Here she gained qualifications in palliative care nursing and counselling. Since 1990 she has been a Practice Nurse, first based in Wilmslow and joining Priorslegh in 2008. Over this period Catherine developed her practice nurse role, and now specialises in wound care, contraceptive reviews, childhood/adult immunisations, ear irrigation, ear micro-suction, performing spirometry tests & cervical cytology screening. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, gardening, baking, going for walks in the local countryside, as well as more adventurous pursuits like skiing & sailing.

Ellie joined Bollington Medical Centre in April 2018 in administrative roles, before taking the opportunity to train in phlebotomy in 2020. Ellie has a passion for patient care & wellbeing, growing up watching her mum who was a Nurse for 25 years. Ellie currently works as a clinical coder and phlebotomist, primarily at Bollington Medical Centre, and enjoys the variety the two different roles give her. Outside of work she enjoys reading, eating out, walks & long drives s well as spending time with family, friends, and her rescue dog Syd.

Gill left a role in Podiatry to join Priorslegh Medical Centre in 2015 as a prescription clerk. In 2019 she took an opportunity to train as a Phlebotomist, and has enjoyed it ever since. When Gill is not working, she is involved with the community within a local church, Girl Guiding, and Open Hands community transport.

Jen has enjoyed a career over 20 years in Nursing, having managed wards at Stepping Hill Hospital, working as a HIV and Sexual Health Specialist, and more recently working in General Practice in Stockport before joining Middlewood in 2023. Jen has developed a keen interest in training and mentoring nursing staff. She leads the Middlewood Nursing Team of Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Phlebotomists, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Diabetes Specialist Nurses.
Outside of work, Jen lives in Stockport with her husband and dog, Teddy. She has three grown up children and three grandsons and enjoys an active, busy, sporty life.

Julie joined Bollington Medical Centre in 2010 in a Reception and Administration role. In 2015 she took an opportunity to train in Phlebotomy, later progressing her training to become a Health Care Assistant. Julie enjoys assisting the GPs in Minor Surgery clinics.
Outside of work, Julie’s interests are Pilates, walking and travel.

Liz Darlington has been an Advanced Nurse Practitioner since 2003. Her early career was spent specialising in Cardiology at the Manchester Heart Centre. In 2002 she undertook a master's degree in Advanced Clinical Nursing at The University of Liverpool and subsequently moved out of Hospital medicine into Primary Care, where she has worked ever since. Her General Practice experience includes working in inner city Manchester for 9 years before moving to McIlvride Medical Practice in Poynton in 2015. Liz has a particular interest in Cardiology, although she now considers herself a generalist. In 2013 Liz took a 12 month break from General Practice to work in Acute Oncology at The Christie Hospital and consequently has developed skills and an interest in cancer care. In her free time Liz enjoys walking and has taken up running with her Welsh Terrier.

Liz began her nursing career in 2012 working in medical and acute medical admission wards at Macclesfield Hospital. She worked there for four years and completed her level three diploma in adult health and social care. She then decided to work in primary care and was based at a GP surgery at Waters Green. She worked there for nearly six years and in 2020 went to Chester University and completed her Nursing Associate foundation degree. In 2022 Liz was ready for a new challenge and came to work for Middlewood Partnership where she hopes to develop and learn new skills. Liz enjoys hiking, reading, films, and meeting up with friends and is a passionate volunteer for various community action groups.

I qualified as a General Practice Nurse in 1990 and worked in orthopaedics for about five years before moving to Macclesfield. Here I worked on a surgical unit and as a bank nurse at East Cheshire Hospice.
I have worked as a practice nurse for about fifteen years and have an interest in respiratory medicine, I have a diploma in COPD and asthma.
I am a mum to two grown-up children and in my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy being outdoors and like walking, cycling, running and Kayaking.

I studied at Manchester University and gained a (Hons) degree. I have previously worked in accident and emergency and intensive care but have spent the last 6 years in general practice. I recently joined the Middlewood practice in January 2021 and look forward to being part of the team. My keen interests are chronic disease management and women’s health. I have 2 young boys at home which keep me busy when not at work!

I initially completed my BSc (Hons) in Health and Nutrition in Sheffield then went on to do a post graduate diploma in Public Health Nutrition, before starting my post graduate diploma in Nursing at Manchester University. I have worked both in Hospitals and the community, training at the Christie and then doing bowel cancer screening. I worked on a General medical ward specialising in diabetes and then started as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse within Stockport Integrated Care Team. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing netball, going to the gym, and running whilst listening to my favourite podcasts.

Started my career at Gatley Medical Centre in 2005 as a Phlebotomist going on to complete my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care at Manchester University. An Opportunity to join the team at Priorslegh Medical Centre came in 2007 which I went on to complete my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care at Manchester University - I work full time - supporting the Doctors and Nursing team - my duties are carrying out blood tests /Blood Pressures/ECG's/Stuture Removal/Basic Dressings/Ear Syringing/Spirometry Tests/B12 injection/Flu Injections/Pneumonia/COVID Injections - Health checks - 24hr BP Monitor Fittings- Diabetes Work-up /Foot checks - supporting Sr Jennings Diabetes Consultant
I also work alongside Dr. Morelli assisting in minor operations and also Dr. Ellison-Smith with Gynae procedures.
Manchester Surgical Services - Trafford General asked me to join their team in 2015 assisting in clinical theatre environment with ENT Consultant Mr. Kaushik to date.
In my spare time, I love being out in the country on my road bike/walking and spending time with my family and friends.

I started work at Bollington Medical Centre in 2001 as a phlebotomist and lead smoking cessation advisor.
As my skill mix and training grew I completed my NVQ3 this allowed me to become one of the first health Care Assistants (HCA) in Cheshire to start giving vaccinations.
My clinics are mainly treatment room with an interest in prevention of cardiovascular disease. I live with my partner & have 2 grown up children and 2 grandchildren.
My interest are music/pop art, reading , gardening and pottery.

Evie Hunter is originally from Huddersfield, where she completed her nurse training and worked in the x-ray department at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. After qualifying in 2017, Evie started her nursing career at the HRI as a staff nurse on the orthopaedics ward, before moving to Manchester to work as a Ward Sister at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. Evie has a special interest in wound care management and tissue viability, and is enjoying the new challenge of working in primary care.
In her spare time Evie enjoys going to the gym, regular walks in the lakes and returning to Yorkshire to spend time with friends and family.

Qualified as a nurse in 2005 and spent 15 years working in acute medicine, more recently as a ward manager and matron, gaining qualifications in leadership and management. I moved into general practice in 2019 and did my Master's in Advanced Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University. My main passions within primary care are paediatrics and dermatology; I am also developing my knowledge of women's health. Outside of work, I am kept busy with two little boys, am a keen indoor and outdoor swimmer, and own a small business providing eco-friendly party decorations.

Erin McLaughlin worked in a surgical background at the Alexandra Hospital after completing her nurse training. She has extensive training in surgical drains and post operative surgical care and has recently completed her non-medical prescribing course. Erin has a great interest in women's health and gynaecology and looks forward to utilising her skills at the Middlewood Partnership.
Erin spends most of her spare time at the farm and tending to her horses, often taking them out for the day doing jumping or cross-country.
