Dr. Andrew Maurice is a GP partner and has been based in Disley since 2003. He is currently the lead partner for the Middlewood Partnership and has particular interests in education and development. He is responsible for supervising GP trainees and Foundation Doctors in Disley, and is the Primary Care Medical Educator for the Macclesfield GP Training Scheme. His clinical interests include cancer and palliative care. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family and the occasional game of golf – which requires considerably more development activity!

Dr. Benedict Pease was brought up in Yorkshire but came across the Pennines to study Medicine at Manchester University and has been in the North West since (apart from a brief gap in between training to do AE and gGeneral Medicine in New Zealand). He is especially interested in elderly care and dementia, but generally has a broad interest across the various fields. He enjoys DIY projects, especially involving woodwork and stonework; gardening, nice walks, and being a human punch bag for his 2-year-old son.

Dr. Sharma has been at the practice since 2011. He was born in Scotland and trained in St Andrews, Scotland, before relocating to complete his training in Manchester. He has specialist interests in sports medicine, mental health, and care of the elderly. He lives locally with his young family and in his spare time enjoys running and socialising with friends.

Dr. David Ward has been a GP Partner, based in Poynton, since 2008. He has an interest in Men's Health and Diabetes. As well as being a GP Partner he is the Care Community Medical Lead for Bollington, Poynton, and Disley, Vice-Chair of the Cheshire LMC, and sits on the Middlewood Board.

Dr. Ellison-Smith graduated from the University of Leeds in 2009 and after completing her GP training in Yorkshire, moved back home to Cheshire in 2014. She worked as a GP locum before joining the team at Priorslegh in 2015 as a salaried GP.
She is interested in Women's Health and is trained to fit and remove both contraceptive coils and implants. She also has an interest in baby and post natal checks. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and likes a game of badminton, if she can find a spare minute as a Mum of two.

Having grown up locally in Cheshire, Dr. Connell graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2009 and worked initially in Ipswich before moving back to the North West to complete her GP training in Wythenshawe. She has been a GP in Poynton since 2015 and became a GP Partner in 2018. Her special area of interest is medical education and the development of the education and training program for the Middlewood partnership. She works with medical students throughout their time at University, as well as holding a post as a tutor for the University of Manchester. At home she enjoys music, getting out into the countryside, and time spent with her family.

Dr. James qualified from the Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2013. She undertook postgraduate training in Manchester and spent additional time working in acute medicine, before completing her final year of GP training at Bollington in 2020. She joined Middlewood as part of a GP fellowship program, undertaking a PGCert in Health Research and joining the established research team based at Bollington. She works mainly at Disley, alongside her work within the research team delivering academic and industry trials. Dr. James enjoys the variety of General Practice and the opportunity to involve Middlewood patients in research opportunities.

Dr. Rachel Hall joined Middlewood as a clinical fellow in 2019 and became a GP Partner in 2020. She is based primarily at Disley. Rachel has an interest in Sports Medicine and Acute Medicine. Prior to becoming a doctor, Rachel was a management consultant and maintains her enthusiasm for quality improvement and service design. When not at work, Rachel enjoys running (marathons) and triathlons (she is an Ironman!) and spending time with her family and dog.

Dr. Raj Gulati graduated with Honors from the University of Manchester Medical School in 1994. He trained in General Practice in Oldham. He has been a practicing GP since 1998, and joined Middlewood in March 2020 as a salaried GP. He is also a GP with a Special Interest in ENT at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, Fairfield Hospital in Bury, and The Royal Oldham Hospital. Raj was awarded the FRCGP from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013. He received this honor for his role in providing a significant contribution to medicine in general and to general practice and family medicine. His other qualifications include DCH (Diploma of Child Health), DRCOG (Diploma of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) Post Graduate Diploma in ENT, and the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health. Outside of work Raj enjoys cycling, walking with his family, and singing.

Dr. Sarah Oliver graduated from The University of Nottingham in 1999. Having grown up locally, she returned to work in Cheshire as a GP in 2004 and joined The Middlewood Partnership as a Salaried GP in 2018. She has an interest in Prescribing and Medicines Management and is the GP Prescribing Lead for Middlewood, working closely with the Middlewood Prescriptions Team. Her other work interests include Women's Health and Mental Health, but most of all she enjoys the variety that General Practice provides, with no two days in practice ever being the same. Outside of the practice, she works as a GP Appraiser and a Specialist Advisor for the CQC. When not at work she is usually in the garden or exploring the local countryside with her family.

He has special interests in diabetes and substance misuse but is most interested in being a generalist.
